2021 Projects - turned into the busiest year ever!

Heritage Horizons Cairngorms 2030 for CNPA.  Rob produced the Project Plan, the stage one NLHF application and the Project Overview Document for this massive £40m+ project.  It was one of only five in the UK to be successful  

Sekirk and the Haining Feasibililty Study for Selkirk Means Business with MBLA.  Development, consultation and proposals to improve car parking, develop campervan facilities and improve the profile and ecomomy of Selkirk 
Destination Tweed Audience Development Strategy to identify the target audiences for this complex £20m project in support of the Stage Two NLHF application 
Outer Hebrides Heritage Audit for CnES Heritage Services Team to develop policies and actions for the Great Place Project Heritage for People Place Based Heritage Strategy 


Bangour Memorial Church Feasibility Study with architects Austin:Smith:Lord, for Ambassador Homes and Historic Churches Scotland.  RRHC undertook all the market and economic elements of the study
Portobello Town Hall Project Viability Report with Munro Allison Architects to once again make this building the heart of the Portobello community

Annan History Town Blueprint for Annan History Group with Studioarc.  Concept and proposals to make Annan Scotland's History Town   


Twelve Towers of Rule Feasibility Study and Action Plan for the Campaign for the Scottish Borders National Park with Jo Scott Heritage  

Silverburn Flax Mill Interpretation Plan for Fife Employment Access Trust (FEAT) working with Jo Scott Heritage to support the NLHF successful stage two application for this multi million pound project   


Scottish Fisheries Museum Feasibillity Study with Studio Niro, strategic planning to develop the brief and project parameters to enhance the museum experience, finances and long term sustainability.  Rob has since been employed to undertake financial projections and economic impact assessments based on the recommended scheme and more recently to workshop and produce the Museum's Strategic Plan.

2020 Projects - a challenging year! 

The Cairngorms Capercaillie Project.  Rob helped to define the project and produce an overarching Project Plan in preparation for a stage two NLHF bid, as well as drafting the application.  This ground breaking project is aiming to save the Capercaillie from extinction by involving the communities in identifying actions to save them - look in Testimonials to see what the client thought!!   The project was successful in its NLHF stage two and is now in the delivery phase!


Society Place, West Calder, successful NLHF Expression of Interest for a major community project to develop an old bakery into a visitor attraction, cafe, venue for hire and hub for people with additional support needs.  The project was all ready for a stage one NLHF application when Covid-19 lockdown hit - watch this space! 


"Bho linn gu linn" (from generation to generation) Carinish School, North Uist updated business plan and project development plan.  Updating the project to align with the new architectural proposals (Fraser Architecture) 


A Visitor Experience Strategy for Galloway Forest Park with Jo Scott for Forestry and Land Scotland.  This applied a new market led approach to visitor experience planning to ensure that the offer matches audience needs and exceeds expectations - and makes the most of the stunning landscape and wildlife!

2019 Projects - a busy year!!

Zetland Park, Grangemouth, activity and interpretation plan in support of the project's successful Stage Two NLHF application to transform this much loved urban park.   


Aberdeen Football Club, working with Studioarc to prodce a market study and costed interpretation plan for a football museum as part of the new stadium development 


Eriskay School, options appraisal, feasibility study and business plan for the Eriskay Historical Society in support of a stage two SLF application to purchase the old primary school and deliver a heritage centre and community cafe 


Woods of Aberdeen Visitor Experience Plan, working with Jo Scott and for FCS to produce plans to improve the woodlands of Tyrebagger, Kirkhill, Countesswells and Foggieton on the outskirts of Aberdeen


Fife Pilgrim Way evaluation report (NLHF end of delivery phase) for the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust evaluating all the trail infrastructure, interpretation and activity for the completed project 


Dean Valley Regeneration report to help define the project's vision, aims and objectives, provide activity and interpretation proposals and draft the text for a subsequent NLHF Expression of Interest 


Stobs Camp evaluation report (NLHF end of delivery phase) for Archaeology Scotland for all the activity, training and interpretation delivered through the project 


Coalfields Communities Landscape Partnership interpretation strategy with Jo Scott in support of a successful NLHF stage two application for this large landscape project stretching from Cumnock to Dalmellington 


Dumbarton Central Station, assisting Lesley Kerr in the production of a detailed Conservation Management Plan for this Grade A listed railway station for the Dumbarton Stations Improvement Trust

The Shale Trail, working with Vyv Wood-Gee to plan the interpretation on a proposed new heritage based walking route in West Lothian (leading to successful Leader and NLHF applications)


St Kilda Viewpoint Centre, North Uist, project appraisal and business plan for Sealladh Hiort 


Carinish School, North Uist, options appraisal, feasibility study and business plan for the North Uist Historical Society in support of a successful stage two SLF application to bring the island's historical collection back to North Uist


National Library of Scotland feasibility study undertaken with the Centre for Research in Digital Education at the University of Edinburgh, investigating opportunities to increase remote access to the national collection for remote communities 


Wyllieum business plan for the George Wyllie Trust investigating opportunities for a new visitor attraction at Greenock's new cruise terminal
